![]() Squad Tactics, at the time, gave attack speed. The pets are also okay but I don't think they're worth the investment either without gear (and Emboldening Roar in the Briarthorn line is likely just as inefficient as my current choices). I don't use or like totems so I don't care to spend points anywhere else. With +skills you'll have a lot more freedom.Īuto-attack build. ![]() My personal recommendation is to go Savagery with Oleron's Rage but if you want the AoE power of Primal Strike try this instead. My level 85 build is able to get everything I want, for example. Personally, because I tend to use mostly auto-attack builds this isn't a big boon for me on my Warder as it is on my Blademaster as there's less skills I want. The reason these are more desirable isn't just because the base effects are strong but it means you can pump points elsewhere. This means using Primal Bond or Stormcaller's Pact accordingly, though Oleron's Rage (Soldier) is likely better than both due to OA being so strong. The first is physical-based, the second is elemental and both can be used with weapon procs such as Feral Hunger. These tend to be more powerful per point saved (so you could save up to ~43 points using these instead of Savagery/Primal Strike). Primal Strike has better clear-speed from my experience but Savagery/Cadence has better survivability due to being able to use Feral Hunger.Ĭadence itself is likely more powerful (and requires less points) than the Savagery line but I enjoy Savagery's attack speed and OA bonuses which, despite the points needed, may make up for it.Īlternatives are a Mistborn Talisman (Troll Rage skill) or a Shard of Beronath (Beronath's Fury skill) instead. Released in 2016, it currently has two expansions: Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. This ARPG features complex character development, hundreds of unique items, crafting and quests with choice & consequence. I thought that even with the primal strike advantages for the ultos set, the "boss melter" savagery build should still have the upper hand.Grim Dawn is an action role-playing game for the PC, developed by veterans of Iron Lore Entertainment, the creators of Titan Quest.Įnter an apocalyptic fantasy world where humanity is on the brink of extinction, iron is valued above gold and trust is hard earned. The only item I switched was a medal with +2 savagery. It took only 46.45 seconds average over 10 tries. Then I respecced to a primal strike build and did the same thing. ![]() It took an average of 49.74 seconds for the dummy to reset with little variation each time. So I killed the elite training dummy 10 times with the savagery build(up to 9 charges). I'm using the ultos set, sure it has some +skills related to primal strike but it shouldn't really give it that much advantage right? I'm at just at level 86 right now but I assume it's a high enough level to really see a difference between the two. But I decided to do some testing on the two skill trees. Topic FiltersĪt what level do we usually see the difference? Because I've been using a savagery build for my warder since it's being recommended here over primal strike especially for end game.
